Life is full of ups and downs but to have both to such a degree in the few hours of a dance class is thankfully rare. P & I turned up early armed with brushes and mop determined to do whatever we could to improve the safety of the floor... and rather to our surprise our little plan worked, hard work but we had grip, wonderful; a friend who said she’d like to try the class, came on time, danced brilliantly and hopefully enjoyed herself, amazing, it’s great to have such a promising new dancer join the class – and then half way through the evening one of our stalwart members, currently on the injured list, simply leans forward in his chair and dislocates his hip and has to be practically carried out in great pain, so sad. We all send our sincere best wishes to a great guy (not to mention his long suffering better half) with hopes for a ‘final solution’ to an ongoing and far too protracted problem. Next week we'll hope for just as much fun at class but just a tad less drama... and I'm sure there will be plenty who will be happy with that too.
