Well the news is out! Our new location for Tuesday night is going to be the PCFi meeting hall in Kato Paphos - check out the location page for directions if you don't know the place.
We are sincerely sad to be leaving the Latin Parish Hall, they have been excellent hosts for a decade - but we have all suffered many nervous moments with the condition of the floor there, not to mention the electrics, sound system, curtains and toilets! Our mission this year was to try and find an improvement, which given all the acknowledged benefits of the LPH in size, location, parking and price was tough. I know some people with memories of the Welcome Inn (the previous incarnation of the meeting hall) will be curious as to how it will be an improvement - well it has changed. Check out the pictures below and you'll see why we like it and we are pretty sure you will too. Admittedly it is not bigger than the LPH, and we will still have the dreaded columns but it will allow a similar number of sets and in every other way it is an improvement - including air conditioning. The absolutely main thing however is that the floor is not slippery - we wont be starting the class on an ice rink this year and I wont be having a heart attack every time someone nearly crashes to the floor. Wahay!

This has been an eventful summer for many of us; not all of it enjoyable, but pretty good on the whole.
Our new dancing season is getting closer with only 3 weeks to go until our first Tuesday session. There has been quite a lot of work going on behind the scenes during the summer and there will be some announcements in the next week or two to let everyone know how things are changing. This is by the way of whetting your appetite and to warn everyone to look out for e-mails as well as the changes on this website. See you all soon I hope, if the number of 'hits' on the site are anything to go by we should have an excellent turn out when we get back together. Keep cool, I should be posting more updates later in the week Jx |
