Anyone, member or non-member can attend our events or classes but becoming a member is easy and gives you a discount for many of our events, preferential tickets allocations and the satisfaction of knowing you are part of one of the happiest societies in Paphos.
Criteria for Membership :- Any age. nationality, background, ability, gender, or if you are single or partnered - as long as you are vaguely human with an interest in Scotland and / or Scottish Country Dancing you'll fit in fine. You might be a bit uncomfortable if you are stuffy, fussy or want to look important but no matter we can probably whip you into shape if you are willing to stick with us for a while, just be prepared to talk a lot, dance a lot (if you want to) and laugh a lot!
Annual Membership commencing January 1st - €15 (no joining or rejoining fee required) First timers only - reduced fee of €10 for people starting in the Autumn season (renewals due in Jan - normal rate)
Benefits of membership -
we hold over 35 Tuesday social dance nights a year, the fee is reduced for members - come to less than 1/2 of them and you've got your membership money back.
random Tuesday dance nights are 'free' nights when members are treated by the committee to a free night with wine & nibbles supplied - non-members are still welcome but may pay their normal 3 Euro rate.
we celebrate the traditional Scottish events of Burns Night and St Andrew's Night as well as many other varied social occasions throughout the year- members get discount for most events - if you are not a Tuesday night-er on average you still only have to attend 3 events to get your membership money back.
many events are over subscribed; membership allows you to hear about what is happening earlier and gives you preference for tickets.
being part of a small but vibrant society that appreciates every single one of their members.
