I am sat in my room listening to the amazing piano playing from the 'common room' where nearly 100 people are enjoying their evening's country dancing. P & I were in that common room enjoying ourselves yesterday but just to make a change we spent this evening in the wonderfully atmospheric 'old dining room' where nearly as many people are dancing the night away doing a selection of ceilidh dances with an equally great band and leader. These are the evenings in Summer School at St Andrew's, and after the dances they party.... but after nearly 2 weeks tuition I am nearing the end of my Unit 5 course and getting my Exam assignment tomorrow - so this year they are going to party without me.... but next year - watch out! P is so enjoying his lessons that he is limiting his evening dancing so as not to overtire himself for the next day.. a tribute indeed to the quality of the teaching and the fun he is having in the lessons. I am just looking forward to getting my Unit 5 over with, but having said that, it has been a great experience with some amazing people.
Last Saturday I did manage to get to that week's end of week dance in the amazing Younger Hall. Here are some of my 'Candidate's Class' with our wonderful teachers. Thank you to Annette for the photo.
