We had a great night, nice and warm with a cool breeze stopping it from being impossibly hot; our numbers are down but that actually makes very little difference to the numbers dancing and it is actually easier to teach! Our new chairman also cemented her popularity by treating us all to a drink to celebrate her birthday. Thank you very much Doris and congratulations. Despite therefore, having an enforced drinking break, some relatively new dances on the programme and lots of Strathspeys (in consideration of the heat) we managed the full 10 dances. The newer dances were all done well and very much enjoyed, the only problem is that we are again suffering from a very slippery floor – so dangerous for our type of dancing – since the LPH’s cleaning equipment appears to have disappeared we are going to turn up next week with our own brushes and mop to at least ensure there is no dust contributing to the slipperiness!
