Finally we are back to our more usual format - of me telling everyone what to do, and no-body taking much notice - as opposed to everyone taking no notice of volunteer 'order abouter's'. We had a hilarious night of dancing fairly new dances with many fairly new dancers - although it was a dance that was well known that caused the most hilarity... well done to everyone involved, it isn't always going to go right but if you can enjoy the chaos almost as much as the order.. well we've got it made! Many of the dance choices on future class programs will be influenced by the requirements of my Unit 5 exam later this year - but this isn't a bad thing since it will introduce a lot of classic dances to newer dancers and bring back memories to older ones - talking of memories the You-Tube video below is uploaded to prove I really was at Winter School as between 2 & 3 minutes you can see me bouncing my way through 'Miss Allie Anderson' - with no real clue what I was doing - so I can relate to all our newcomers brave attempts to get through new dances more than they probably imagine. On another note I am doing my best to reinvent a 'beginner's / improver's class' - at the UKCA if we can fix on a convenient day - news will be available soon, I hope.
