Birthdays 'n stuff

Firstly, congratulations to our Irene, who very kindly managed to arrange reaching 75 years on this earth, for a Tuesday night. This allowed us all to indulge in wishing her a heartfelt Happy Birthday whilst consuming an outstandingly delicious carrot cake - so delicious that very little was left for her to take home (sorry about that Irene), but now we know where to source it we just need an excuse to get more! One excuse might be this Saturday's 'Members Social' - though we won't promise anything because there'll be plenty of good simple food to eat without cake. You can order on the day, but you can also contact Irene with your preferences beforehand - which will hopefully give you slightly faster service once the kitchen opens - and will  definitely ensure your choice is available, in case there's a run on a particular item! We'll be there from 10:30 a.m. - that should give us plenty of chatting time - so many people are suffering at the moment from various aches & pains, breaks,  bad backs & who knows what else it's not surprising that the dance sessions are low on numbers, but hopefully we can all enjoy a weekend catch up whatever our physical condition. I will also take the opportunity to update everyone on the 'Group Status', just in case anyone is interested, but I promise to keep it short!
