Although the attendance was disappointing (another date may have been better attended, but all our diaries are crowded) we had a really lovely morning and very convivial lunch with those people who did join us. We presented a well deserved 'Certificate of Appreciation' plus an impressively pretty bunch of flowers(great choice Doug) to Doris, who is stepping down as 'Chairman/Group Leader' after so many years that the exact number was under dispute! I'm now officially 'Group Leader' which doesn't change anything significantly except I get to talk even more without anyone telling me to stop! Unfortunately the excitement of being officially Leader made me forget to take any pictures so the only thing to post here as a reminder of the event is... The Invite:- But we'd also like to thank the really brilliant volunteers from the Phoenix Club who set the place up beautifully for the meeting, manned the bar, cooked the food (the chips were really excellent) and generally helped make it a very successful meeting.
