Everyone is welcome to this wonderfully atmospheric evening. After a delicious buffet meal you are invited to dance under the stars - or you can relax and be entertained by those who get up to try! No one who wants to dance need be left out whatever their age, experience or fitness level. The programme includes dances that are slow, as well as faster ones and 'singles' find it as easy to join in as couples. All dances will be taught and called on the night so you don't have to do more than enjoy yourself (though we'd love to see you at the classes beforehand). Don't forget to contact Irene to book your place or you won't get fed! Pictures of the preparationsOn the nightThis wasn't the most well attended event in our history however it must easily be one of the most enjoyable. The food from the Elea chef's was truly excellent, the best they've ever done for this event and we have had such fantastic positive feedback it could have gone to our heads if we weren't permanently grounded by the desire to do better. Everyone - both the dancers and the spectators - really enjoyed the dancing despite the occasional false starts with the music. The programme was a selection of possibilities, the dances we actually did were:- A Highland Welcome, The Fairy Ring, The Gypsy Thread, The Gay Gordons, The Dashing White Sergeant; Waratah Weaver and St Bernard's Waltz. Well done to everyone who got up and had a go.

What it's aboutThe June Jamboree 2014 was our first attempt at a Summer End of Season Ball and our first Summer event at the Elea Golf Club. It was, without doubt, a great success. Since then we have continued holding an event at the Elea although with slightly varying formats. We always have an excellent night. Archives
