Dear Members, I am so sorry to have to inform you of the recent death of Annelise Grimason. Annelise was the daughter of Martin and Alison Rennie both of whom were past Chairmen of the Society. Alison was the dancing teacher for many years. At the death of her father Annelise and her husband came to live with Alison and care for her. She was Secretary to the Society for some years and a keen dancer. In about 2014 she was diagnosed with a rare cancer and went to the United States for treatment. After her return she was never free from discomfort or pain but was always a smiling and cheerful person, enjoying our Tuesday evenings. After Alison’s death, she and her husband returned to Scotland where she again began treatment for the cancer. I am sure all of you who knew her will be very sad to hear this news. It had been our hope that she would one day return to Cyprus, but this was not to be. Our condolences go to her husband David, and to her two brothers.
