Barn dance opportunity:-
This isn't associated with the St Andrew Group except for the caller (me!) however anyone can attend and several of our group are doing so.
It was a really good turn out of nearly 60 guests who enjoyed an excellent buffet, a free prize 'draw' and tried their hands (and feet) at a very varied programme of simple dances - the dance programme opened with the circle dance 'Oh Suzanna' and 'The Charleston Chaser' followed by the 'Eva 3 Step'; the ever popular Borrowdale Exchange had everyone laughing and the 'Packhorse Rant' was also enthusiastically performed. After a break for Birthday cake and some high quality deserts 'St Bernard's Waltz' got a few people back on the dance floor, followed by 'Simon's Dance' and the lively 'Heel Toe Polka' finished everyone off!
What is a Barn Dance? (our version!)
A casual night of food and drink with a mix of Hoe Down, Ceilidh, English Country, new and old dances - as long as they are simple, fun and social.
